It's Friday, friends! Got any exciting plans for the weekend? With the cold temperatures that we've been having here in Ohio, a weekend spent inside sewing or quilting sounds like a good idea to us!
February means that Valentine's Day is coming up in just a couple short weeks.
Bunny trail: Is anyone else ready for chocolate covered strawberries, or is that just me? We have a local chocolate store that sells them on Valentine's Day, Mothers' Day and Sweetest Day (yes, we celebrate that in Ohio) and wow, they are ridiculously good. Anywayyyy you should probably get back to reading the rest of this newsletter.
To celebrate we thought we'd share an idea that we LOVE. Okay. Full disclosure? This really has nothing to do with Valentine's Day...we just really want to tell you about our recent obsession.
MINI QUILTS
(it's a small obsession, really.)
So Rachelle, our online manager who adores sewing, recently had a brilliant idea: she's going to fill one of her walls at home with mini quilts...like a mini quilt collage. What a great way to decorate, right? And it just so happens that Thimble Blossoms has 14 ADORABLE mini quilt patterns (pictured below).
So hey, while these frigid winter temperatures invite us to stay indoors, why not create your own mini quilt wall? I'm sure throughout her journey of making these precious minis, you'll see Rachelle post photos on our Facebook & Instagram pages. Why not join in on the fun? As we mentioned in our email last week...our Block of the Month subscription is available once again, with starter kits for this round being shipped in March.
Here are the details:
Due to high demand we are offering another limited number of sign up spots to join the Amish with a Twist IV block of the month program. Orders for this round will start shipping in the middle of march and include the first three months kits to be on track with everyone else. Each kit thereafter will be shipped on a monthly basis.
You can either choose:
A) To pay for the Starter Kit online and then call us to set up monthly payments for the remainder of the kits. The Starter Kit cost is $65.00 (includes first 3 months' kits + the pattern book + spool of Aurifil) and will ship mid-march and then each remaining month (April-December) will be $10.00 plus $5.00 shipping for a cost of $15
B) To pay for the full year up front online for an overall savings of $30. The cost for this is $170.00. You will still receive the Starter Kit in March and then the rest of the kits on a monthly basis, you're just simply paying it for all up front.
Finished size is 88" x 98".
Shipping on the Starter Pack will be Mid-March. Included in this first shipment is the pattern book, a large spool of Aurifil thread, and the first, second, & third months block kits.
Included in this program is everything that you need to complete the quilt top as well as binding with the option to purchase backing and batting at the end. (We will send out an email about this offer announcing all the details when we near the end of this project.

Each month will be $10 plus $5 shipping. You are also welcome to pick up your block kits in store each month if you are local.
